From 1998 until 2002 Ronald and Linda Froetschel, owned and managed a crane and rigging company called Hunter Crane, Inc., headquartered in Delray Beach, FL.

In February 2002 Steven Retterath, Jason Retterath and James Robertson set up a corporate entity called Royal Crane, LLC to purchase the assets of Hunter Crane. Royal Crane continues to use “Hunter Crane” as a fictitious business name. After the sale, Ronald Froetschel stayed on to manage the company’s daily operations.

Hunter Crane’s fleet includes some tower cranes, but is mostly comprised of mobile hydraulic truck cranes and crawlers.

In May 2009 Hunter Crane put up for sale a number of cranes at a Ritchie Bros. auction in Orlando, Florida.
