Summary of Complaint: Cause of action arose from an incident on September 5, 2008 during a construction project for Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise project in Miami-Dade County. According to the complaint, the plaintiff, Atlas Management Systems, contracted with the defendant, General Crane, to provide “certain services” including hoisting overhead sign structures. The plaintiff alleged that General Crane worked in an “unreasonable and negligent manner.” As a result a crane owned by General Crane and operated by its employee tipped and the overhead sign structure fell causing damage to the sign. Atlas seeks relief for compensatory damages.
