Summary of Complaint: The plaintiff (Certain Underwriters) issued general liability insurance policies to the defendant (Gulfstream Crane) that covered in total a period from June 2005 to June 2007. In accordance with the policy, the defendant was required to pay a deductible of up to $25,000 per occurrence. The defendant made five (5) claims to the insurance policies, incurring total deductible costs of $66,292.83. The plaintiff submitted written payment requests and made multiple demands for the defendant to pay. After discussions, the defendant agreed to make an immediate payment of half of the balance, which it did in December 2008. The remaining balance of $33,146.42 was outstanding at the time of the filing. Gulfstream Crane denies allegations.
