Summary of Complaint: Cause of action arose when the plaintiff (Lewis Equipment), a direct competitor with the defendant (General Crane), alleged that two Lewis Equipment employees (Shawn Cluff and Randy Harris – co-defendants), in the days before resigning their positions, downloaded trade secrets and other proprietary and confidential information from company-owned computers and then used this information with their new employer, General Crane. Lewis equipment claimed likely damages in the form of lost profits, lost business prospects, and loss of business goodwill. General Crane denies allegations.
