Summary of Complaint: The plaintiff, Carlos Llamas, alleges that on June 26, 2009 he was working for Urban Concrete Contractors, Ltd. at a construction site at the San Antonio International Airport when he was injured by a crane owned by General Crane USA and operated by one of its employees. Mr. Llamas, who was serving as a flagman directing the use of the crane in question, claims the crane operator lifted a load without Mr. Llamas’ instruction, which caused a guideline to wrap around his leg, lifting him 20 to 30 feet in the air and then subsequently dropping him causing “serious and disabling” injuries. The plaintiff seeks monetary relief in excess of $50,000.
