Summary of Complaint: Cause of action arises from an incident on August 6, 2002 where a crane operated rented to plaintiff (Turnberry) by defendant (Republic Tower) allegedly experienced mechanical problems, which caused the crane operator to drop a concrete slab thirty-nine floors to ground level, causing significant damage to Turnberry property. The plaintiff alleges that it is entitled to compensatory damages per the original order and product agreement with the defendant. Republic Tower & Hoist denied allegations. The case was dismissed with prejudice in May 2007.
